My Story
I genuinely didn't expect to find so much new territory inside myself in my forties.
Traits I'd assumed were just "my personality" turned out to be downstream of nutrient imbalances. Aspects of how I work and where I live started making sense once I looked at my genetics. Motivation, mood and a sense of ease — all of it shifted measurably with what I ate, how I slept, and how I moved. Day-to-day life shapes mind and body more than we tend to give it credit for.
I also happen to be an HSS-HSP — a High-Sensation-Seeking Highly Sensitive Person, the rare ~6% subset described by Dr. Elaine Aron. We chase novelty, but burn out fast under overstimulation. We need new experiences and the company of certain people, and we need silence and solitude to recover. Dr. Aron called it "a car with the accelerator and the brake pressed at the same time."
Reading that description was the first time I felt fully seen — and it explained, in retrospect, almost every "weird" instinct I'd had: why I'd moved to Australia where wilderness and city sit side-by-side, why yoga and meditation stuck, why ocean weekends were non-negotiable, why magnesium and omega-3 made such a clear difference. When you layer precision nutrition, genetics, Ayurveda and East-Asian medicine on top of a temperament like this, it becomes obvious: managing the nervous system, inflammation and stress isn't optional. It's the prerequisite for using the creative side of being wired this way.
Studying precision nutrition — and reading my own bloodwork, genetic data, gut microbiome and lifestyle data through that lens — has been, in a real sense, a series of introductions to a person I thought I already knew.
Food, environment, the kind of work that suits you, the rhythms you live by — all of it gets easier once you actually understand yourself first. That's the part of this work I find genuinely moving, and the part I most want to share.
If you're struggling with health or performance, or just curious about what's going on under the surface, I'd be honoured to help.
The first step is to understand yourself accurately — to know where you actually stand. INNERTRAVELER.ai is built to make that step concrete.
Our Mission
Modern tooling — wearables, accessible bloodwork, microbiome panels, large datasets — finally makes it possible to design genuinely personalized health guidance, instead of recycled population averages.
"I've been off for a while, but I can't pin down why."
"I've tried a lot of things; nothing has stuck."
The starting point is almost always the same: understand the current state honestly, in data.
For its detailed analysis, INNERTRAVELER.ai uses the 8weeks.ai (Pro) analysis engine, supervised by Jingu-mae Integrated Medicine Clinic in Tokyo, which is trained on blood, stool, dietary and sleep data from over 2,000 Japanese adults, and deliberately pairs it with a human counsellor — because a number alone never tells you what to do tomorrow morning. (Service available in Japanese to residents of Japan.)
What we ultimately want is simple: more people, more days, feeling like themselves. A version of health that holds room for the actual person living inside it.
